Calling around to see my friend Don on Christmas morning, the first thing I noticed as I walked down his drive was a small placard placed near his front door saying: “Santa thank you for one more Xmas, Don.” Don is 82 years old.

The placard made me think that for all the money we throw at Christmas, and all the presents and possessions that we accrue at this time of year, life is the most important thing.

It’s free and precious to us all and yet so taken for granted. I hope you have many more, Don.
