REGARDING the scaremongering from Kersten England about cuts to council subsidies (The Press, December 18), if James Alexander’s future schemes (a recent example being the destruction of King’s Square, without consultation with the residents) were cancelled, together with all the fines from traffic restrictions (Coppergate and the Lendal Bridge fiasco), then possibly forecasted reductions in residents’ services may be avoided.
