NO ONE likes too much regulation or legislation; we have quite enough already, except for one area – crazy cyclists almost everyday travelling around York.

Selfish cyclists can be seen transporting young children on their two-wheeled steeds. In a classic case the other day, a woman was riding a gents-type crossbar cycle with a very young girl minus any helmet doing her best to sit on the front of the cross bar in heavy traffic.

The little girl would have not have had a chance in the event of an accident.

If adults want to kill themselves with their crazy antics, that is up to them. Urgent legislation is needed to make helmets compulsory for all young children. I am amazed these death wish adults have got away with treating their kids in this way.
