WITH regards to Howard Perry’s views on Tory hypocrites (Letters, December 16), David Cameron can surely make up his own mind to advise and be adult in doing so.
Margaret Thatcher did what she thought best for the country, as with the Tory government. Incidentally she was admired by most of Europe and even Russia as the “Iron Lady”.
Mandela soon ridded himself of Winnie who, despite unscrupulous doings, supported him solidly, ending in prison herself. Apartheid, as racism in any form, is appalling, but the women folk, Mrs Mandela and Winnie were not allowed to travel to his funeral with men folk of their families.
Are women inferior to men in that situation? Women are not valued it seems to me, only for producing babies, work and suffering intolerance by men.
