ST George’s Old Boys Association held its annual reunion on November 15 at the Tramways WMC, and the night was once again considered a success.
We would like to take thank all the old boys who attended and also contributed to a great evening. The prizes donated for the raffle were generous, raising a total of £293.78 on the night.
Thanks to Terry Bellwood and Mike Smith for going round with the tickets and running the raffle, and Tony Clark, our president, for his usual help and enthusiasm.
With so many donations towards the raffle it seems unfair to single out individuals, but must mention three: Mike Rogan, who made the trip from Germany with a generous donation; Dave Rowan who could not attend but sent a bottle of malt whisky; and Lee Bell, standing in for his late father, Ged, who was renowned for his award-winning products pork pies. Lee donated a Navvie’s Breakfast.
Finally, a big thank-you to Lily, our secretary, and the bar staff at the Tramways for their hard work.
Thank you all once again.
Tony Clark, Terry Bellwood, Tom Sweeney, St George’s Old Boys Association.
