WE HAVE experienced one of the toughest economic climates of a generation, so the York Economic Partnership (YEP) fully supports the York Central proposals, which are set to kick-start development on one of Europe’s largest Brownfield sites, and as a result provide thousands more jobs and opportunities for people in and around York.

Our York economic strategy sets out a blueprint for an ambitious future for the city and the YEP is working closely with the council to ensure that we have even more support for existing business growth and inward investment for the benefit of York and the surrounding areas.

We are pleased that these proposals are taking these first critical steps forward which we hope will further secure York’s economic future and build on the city’s highly-skilled workforce and support the growing business base.

Stirling Kimkeran, Chairman of the York Economic Partnership.
