Now that’s dangerous
But as a cyclist who regularly uses the road, the cones on the road are on my cycle route, meaning I have to go almost to the middle of the road.
This is particularly dangerous on my route from work. At night big lorries go by and fuel containers and the wind force from them can almost drag me in to the traffic.
I suggest that the cones are not left in the centre of the current cycle lane, putting others at risk, when there is no work on the road itself and no people about. If there was a serious accident because someone left cones in the current cycle lane blocking it off, who would be to blame?
The new cycle lane is a good idea, but we should not put others at risk while constructing it. Offer a safe alternative or a diversion.
