Spend bridge fines on jams at station
IF the figures are to be believed of cars still using Lendal bridge (1,000 per day), the monies collected in fines is a staggering £30,000 per day. It begs the question, how do the powers that be intend to spend this money?
May I suggest that it is used to correct the debacle they created at the railway station, which, in my opinion, is one of the biggest sources of congestion in the city. The money provided by the motorist should be used to improve their lot who struggle to enter and exit the station.
