Support for care home
MY wife has been in the care of South Park for more than two years and I visit twice a day for about an hour each time.
I can personally say that in that time I have seen nothing untoward, no unkind word and no impatience shown to patients.
My wife is in Jorvik unit so I cannot speak for Ebor – the other half of South Park.
The article in The Press is unfair because it is only a repeat of the assessment made two or three weeks ago and gives a false impression that things are getting worse – which is not the case.
Give the new management a chance please. One criticism is justified I admit.
Staff turnover is excessive and agency nurses and carers who might be competent, have no chance to get to know their patients, which can be important.
Robert Carr, North Lane, York.
