Playing the numbers game at sugar site
THE British Sugar Site raises serious questions. In 2011, City of York Council claimed 1,295 homes could be built on that brown-field site; but in 2013, when it wished to justify building on greenbelt, that figure was reduced to 998.
Now the site owners have confirmed a figure of about 1,300 homes is still the target. So how many homes will be built? In my lifetime probably none.
