Politicians playing games
HOW I agree with Rita Crombleholme (Letters, September 10). I cannot comprehend how politicians can get away with putting themselves or their party interests before anything else.
More fool the voter who believes their propaganda. We have drifted from crisis to crisis – and there is no light at the end of the tunnel.
You would have thought that for once, when for example the banking crisis struck in 2008, all the brains of Britain would have put their heads together to find a solution, putting aside personal interests to get the country back on its feet, regardless of politics. But here we are, years still waiting for miracles to happen.
I have more respect for the beggar in the street than these people. I find it almost unbearable to watch the House of Commons “shows” they put on, behaving like naughty schoolboys, joking and trying to outdo each other verbally, as if it all was a game.
The reality is they are playing with peoples’ lives and the survival of a nation. The people of Britain deserve better.
