Diplomacy is way ahead over Syria
HAS THE heat got to David Cameron? After all he was a very pinkish tone on his fourth holiday of this year pictured in some kind of Mickey Mouse under garment.
The reason for the inquiry is that he has ordered a cull of badgers with bullets and in almost the same breath suggested a cull of Syrians with missile attacks.
The heir to Blair is, alarmingly, following his predecessor’s path to war based on yet- to-be-proven use of chemical weapons by Syria’s President Assad.
Tony Blair took the UK to war against Iraq based on erroneous information (some say lies) concerning Saddam Hussein’s possession and previous use of WMD’s. Wouldn’t Mr Cameron be best advised to work with the United Nations to secure a diplomatic solution to Syria’s woes?
The perpetrators of attacks on civilians should be pursued by legal process, retrospectively including war crimes such as torture and WMDs such as napalm, cluster bombs, depleted uranium, agent orange, nuclear weapons and blanket bombing.
