We are not the world’s policeman
OUR leaders are once again contem-plating going to war against a Muslim nation.
Why, are we the world’s policemen? No. Is the UN the world’s policeman? Yes.
It seems the citizens of the US have no heart for yet another foreign war and I don’t really think the average Brit want to see us starting another conflict like Iraq.
The use of weapons of chemical warfare has been awful, but it may not happen again. Surely we are not the only nation with a conscience?
Muslim countries are staying well clear, so why is it up to us? Surely the Muslim countries should be the ones to create a no-fly zone; we should keep clear, just like them.
In Iraq, the killings go on between Muslims. We cannot ever solve the differences between Sunnis and Shias, etc. So why do we try? We are not the Muslims’ favourite country for interfering in their affairs.
It took many years to stop the bloodshed in Northern Ireland and isolated murders still occur.
