THE third and final season of Spartacus, entitled War of the Damned, concluded recently, but never fear, as the complete collection is out now on DVD and Blu Ray.
The series, which began with Spartacus: Vengeance and Spartacus: Blood and Sand, was inspired by the historical figure of Spartacus, the Thracian gladiator who led a major slave uprising from 73 to 71 BC.
In the last series, the rebel army, led by Spartacus and his generals Crixus, Gannicus and Agron, continues to amass victories over Rome. With the rebel numbers swelling to thousands of freed slaves, Spartacus is more determined than ever to bring down the entire Roman Republic.
The rebels engage in one bloody skirmish after another, preparing for the inevitable: a full out war with Rome.
