Banning shock
11:38am Monday 18th February 2013 in Letters By Reader's letter
WHAT would you do if you saw a blatant breach of health and safety and flouting of fire regulations?
Maybe bring it to someone’s attention? Well I did just that in a York pub a few weeks ago. I had a great discussion with management afterwards and thought the matter was closed.
I had even returned to the pub a few times until the other night when I was told I was no longer welcome because, and I quote: “We clearly cannot satisfy your expectations when you visit so... you’re barred.”
It seems that the manager cannot cope with any criticism and resorts to getting his staff to deal with things.

Name the pub, detail the breaches.
Otherwise it just looks like you've had a petty kick-off and you've got sour grapes about it.
And, yeah, like the Captain says, relevant department.

o for a complaint seems to be the order of the day.
Fire brigade comes to mind.

The second question is "If he felt so concerned and felt that peoples health and safety was being endangered why didn't he report it to the appropriate authorities immediately?".

Made the complaint to the staff as soon as fire door was blocked but they clearly didn't give a monkeys cos the Manager had said there was no problem
