Slippery subject

DOES ONE assume that City of York Council has a large sum of money on stand-by to cover liability claims that could surely follow the neglect of car parks on a winter’s night? Or maybe they have just never heard of health and safety or even risk assessment?

Attending the Grand Opera House on Saturday, I was appalled at the packed snow still lying on the ground creating real accident potential and increased custom for A&E at York Hospital. People do pay real money to park in York, so the least they can expect is an easy walk from car to pay station, of which there are far too few anyway, to add to what turned out to be a very enjoyable evening with York Stage Musicals.

Totally agree. The same applies to footpaths and minor roads in and around York. Some of these were never even attempted to be cleared.
The money wasted on CofYC's Green agenda would have paid for our safety with cash to spare.

We are not supposed to be having snow anyway, the warming was supposed to be catastrophic.
Maybe a bit more green tax will do the trick?

Go on buzz, have another moan.......
