I SHOULD like to add my tribute to the late Arthur Morton, a well respected estate agent in this city for many decades.
We were a young couple in the 1960s winding up a business, and we needed a valuer. Mr Morton was recommended and I shall never forget how meticulous he was, and with what great attention to detail he carried out his duties throughout that day. He counted and valued every small thing, as well as the larger items.
The fact that we were inexperienced at such matters made no difference as he guided us through with patience and extreme kindness. He was a credit to his profession.
