AS A lifelong supporter of rugby in York and now the City Knights, could I advise supporters that the club has now shut the turnstiles on Jockey Lane entrance and made it ticket only.

You now have to get a ticket in the following way: first phone 01904 641724 and order your ticket to pick up at the Jockey Lane entrance.

How do you pay? The man on the gate!

So now instead of a turnstile you’ve four to five people involved:

1 The telephone/admin person.

2 The ticket delivery person.

3 The ticket checker, including season tickets.

4 The gate man, to take your money and any change and operate the gate.

As there can be upwards of 50 people at this gate at one time, it makes you think of any delays. Also, what about visiting team supporters?
