More jam, please

WE have heard it all before, promises, promises, promises.

Why has this dillydallying Government given us this gobbledegook about the luxurious state pension it is going to shower us with in 2017?

When will they ever realise that us not so golden oldies require jam on our bread today, that’s what is needed to help us to reach the year 2017.

Well as it happens, Ken, I’ve stopped buying jam. I can’t say it’s made a significant difference to my state of health or wealth, but it does give me a certain warm glow, thinking that I am doing my bit in these hard times.
