SO, RESIDENTS of the parish of Nafferton are advised to write to East Riding Council to request a by-election for the vacancy on their parish council.
I advise them to do so.
Even if only one person stands, it only takes a dozen electors to trigger a poll, and if the parish council is doing a bad job, electors can stay away to express their disdain, as they did with the police and crime commissioner elections.
