‘The only opinion that counts on EU is ours’
10:20am Saturday 12th January 2013 in Letters By Reader's letter
OUR big “friends” across the Atlantic are warning Prime Minister David Cameron not to rock the boat too rigorously with the European Union.
They, unlike us, are carefully looking after number one.
America knows it cannot bully France, and Germany is so immensely successful she does not need to court America, so the USA now leans even harder on the UK to get what she wants via Britain.
We should be given the referendum promised by all three major UK Parties, and it should be a straightforward question: “Do you wish this country to remain within the EU?”

It has swung me more toward a "out" vote.

Perhaps a second referendum could be held with the question "should we stop being America's b***h?" - because I bet there'd be way more YES votes than NO, and by voting Yes we'd also get rid of the Climate Change cr-p being force fed upon us by the most arrogant nation on the planet.

Nah , it's a case of the top making people scared to loose their jobs by making unemployment high so that the higher ups can mass reduce wages with little fight from te ordinary worker
Same scare tactics from the eu saying we will loose out but do we really have that much to loose?
Life's already crap so do it, let us cut away from this leech ,
The whole top is selfish as they come, companies in the uk using the recession as an excuse to slash pay or miss pay rises ,
Shame on them
