The Press of January 5 reports the imminent completion of the City of York Council West offices, with a total cost stated as £43.8 million, which included £32 million for the conversion of the previously station building, £1.5 million for new furniture, IT and audiovisual equipment for 1,440 staff.
It is predicted that £17 million will be saved over 25 years.
Meantime, presumably, the £43.8 million will consist of a loan or loans to be paid back, with either an apparent black hole of £26.8 million and or a possible reducing debt of £43.8 million on the balance sheet.
Maybe there is something missing in this statement?
