WE WOULD like to congratulate Mickle-gate area traders for their efforts in organising the Micklegate Winter Festival.

The Micklegate Action Group is showing what can be done with some initiative and the collective will of a number of traders. The group is highlighting that the Micklegate Quarter is well worth visiting, with its mix of small, independent shops, hostelries and eateries. The group is open to all traders who can each participate in what could soon become the main forum for promoting the area, its businesses and trading conditions in this historic area of the city. The more businesses come together, the more effective they can be in increasing footfall.
