REGARDING Kerron Cross’s response to my comments about the housing problem (Letters, December 6), this is ‘spin’ albeit in a truthful form.
My point is that the Church of England, with its enormous wealth, could actually fix the housing problem rather than just comment on it. I did say that the Archbishop is a philanthropist, but obviously the C of E’s monetary chiefs don’t think the same way.
We are quite accustomed to prominent people commenting on subjects that their own organisations do nothing, or comparatively little, about – something regarding a camel and a needle comes to mind.
