Greens so smug

I WONDER if the pro-green lobby is sitting snugly in its smug self- righteousness during these cold winter days. Meanwhile thousands of poorer pensioners cannot afford to put on their heating because of the £200 extra on their energy bills caused by green policies.

Most of these swivel-eyed zealots, who have conveniently changed their tune from “global warming” to “climate change” have a financial or political self-interest in promoting the green agenda. They cannot be trusted.

This awful Government has already cut £50 from a couple’s winter fuel allowance, and although they are good at talking the talk over their concern for the disadvantaged, they have yet to take any steps in walking the walk. They cannot be trusted.

Geoff Robb, Hunters Close, Dunnington.

And of course none of the dwindling band of climate-change denying scientists are either
a) in the pay of the fossil fuel industry, or
b) completely barking.

Scream as loud as you like Mr Robb, but without actual eveidence to support your wild assertions, no one is going to take much notice.

I said this about an anti wind power letter a week or two ago:

The author's hysterical tone a tabloid language undermines his point.

"sitting snugly in its smug self- righteousness"
"Most of these swivel-eyed zealots"

Really?

I see the warming brigade got in there first on this one. One day soon we will see who's head is in the sand.
So you think we are warming during our below average temperatures? At least the letter writer got it spot on:.

Are you for real Buda? What has £50 less allowance to do with inflation. Over the last 5 years energy (Gas and Electricity) prices have risen 63% while CPI general inflation has risen 15.9%.
One of the reasons for well above inflation rises are the hidden green charges on everyone's bills. In addition to this the Government are further subsidising so called green energy generation with a tax payers contribution of £ Billion 7.6. Remember, what you borrow you must return.
Nick Clegg also welcomed the giveaway of another £2Billion to third world countries to fund their wind turbines. All this while people at home freeze!
And Zetkin, a dwindling band of deniers? Let me tell you that despite the propaganda, folks are getting wise to this rubbish and working it out for themselves. The green wash is coming off, though I must accept that some folks got a thicker coating and perhaps beyond enlightenment.

Actual figures not meddled with by those who changed "Global Warming" to "Climate Change" when they realised Britons wanted it to get warmer (so they invented some sea current story to try and back up their web of lies) show carbon levels were warmer in Roman times than now, and global temperatures were the same... meanwhile further back in time when carbon levels were much lower global temperatures were higher. Ice in Antartica is actually growing, not shrinking.... plus think about this, the Climate Change brigade keep coming up with new ways and new people to try and insult the sceptics - either inferring we would like to have black guys as slaves, or are retards who ebleiev 9/11 was a government setup and that there is an alien in roswell... but the simple fact is what do schoolkids often do when theire side of the argument is losing because they don't enough substance for their side to carry on? they insult the other side... "You ain't got no dad as he's with another woman" "yeah well... you're gay" - no argument/case = throw an insult.
