AS A resident of Acaster Malbis, it was laughable that an action group under the name of CARE wants to oppose the planning application of Papakata, a new and expanding company.
The group claims vehicles come through the village in a mini-military convoy. Well, I don’t know which village they live in but I have asked around and no one knows about any invasion. Yes, there are vehicles coming through the village but so too are farm vehicles, supermarket delivery vans, local buses and even some residents’ cars.
This is a good village with a close community and the last thing we need is a divisive group. I suggest if total peace is what the CARE group really want, then a care home may be more suitable.
