WHILE visiting Parliament Street, I stumbled across rows of chalets looking like a 1930s Butlins holiday camp.
I was expecting Paul Shane, Ruth Madoc and Su Pollard to announce over the loudspeaker the times of afternoon bingo and the glamorous granny contest.
After buying my goodies from Marks&Spencer, I asked a member of staff about these buildings. It was for the St Nicholas Fayre and for the Christmas season. A great slogan came to mind: “Hi dee hoo hoo hoo.”
