IT MUST be frustrating for Gary Mills to listen to the critics and disheartened supporters at Bootham Crescent on match days, particularly as he is a fine manager and has brought great success to the club.
However, he should know that this happens in most clubs, especially when we have seen so few wins at home. Two wins at home out of nine, three wins away, out of nine is not even sure survival form.
The bottom club in league two have 28 goals against, and York have let in 24.
The team have played really well at times and I was most impressed with the speed and skill displayed in the TV cup game away to Wimbledon – but we only drew at home and lost away, missing a host of easy chances in the replay.
Practise shooting skills and plug defensive gaps and success will follow.
