I NOTE from the letters in yesterday’s edition of The Press that yet again Paul Hepworth comes out in support of the ridiculous bus lane on Boroughbridge Road.
Making a direct comparison with similar bus lanes on Hull Road is in fact where the similarity ends, as Hull Road was built as a dual carriageway with few if any private driveways needing to access the road by going over the bus lane.
Boroughbridge Road is a nice two-lane road with tidy grass verges and a wide range of attractive trees lining much of the length and is accessed directly from private driveways along all its length.
