ON Saturday night, we took our 17-year-old grandchild for a ride into York to look at the York Wheel.
It is in the perfect site and was truly lovely, whirling around against the dark evening sky.
We all decided to count the number of carriages and each one of us came up with different numbers, of course.
Well done, York. It’s a pity about the fare, but who needs to see York by heights when you have lived in the city for decades?
