I WOULD like to echo the call by the York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, in conjunction with York Wheelchair Centre, for residents to return wheelchairs they may have and no longer use for.

With increasing cuts to health budgets, it is important savings are made where they can be and this is an easy way for people to help.

Wheelchairs are expensive but can easily be reused.

Residents can return wheelchairs to the York Wheelchair Centre, Blue Beck House, Blue Beck Drive, Shipton Road, 8am and 3.30pm.
