Not just inconvenient

I FIND it hard to believe the comments by York parent Karen Harrison (The Press, October 23) regarding the closure of York College day nursery.

Of course, she and lots of other parents have been inconvenienced by the recent tragic events, but let us not forget that a little girl lost her life and a whole family has been ripped apart.

•YORK COLLEGE cannot undo the tragic death of a child at its day nursery. It can only learn from it to try to ensure it never happens again. Closing the nursery permanently solves nothing but creates yet more problems and stress. It is not a sensible decision.
