Families too large

IN SPITE of there being between 24 and 66 unemployed people for every retail vacancy, and only a one-in-44 chance of getting an office job in most areas, we persist with encouraging people to have large families through the welfare system.

I feel sorry for the children. There will be no jobs for millions more of them.

One machine had taken the jobs of three council workers who you paid council tax to.

The country is sitting on a time-bomb if radical action is not taken soon.

In the blink of an historical eye, these will become of pensionable age, needing health treatment and care.

We are up against unrelenting economic pressure from the East. For example, China’s economy is growing equivalent to the whole of Greece’s every three months.

Totally agree Paul, welfare state or not, like cats and dogs, there are just too many of us.
The Chinese method of taxing more than one birth might be one idea. After all, most people accept being taxed for fresh air through their green taxes so why not?

Yes, and we still pay people who are wealthy compared to most, family allowance
