5) An undated photo of the plaque presented from New York to York on 18 July 1924. It hangs in Guildhall.

6) August 1989 - An archaeologist at the Queen's Hotel site on the corner of Micklegate and Skeldergate.

7) 10 August 1983 - York Archaeological Trust working in Skeldergate, where they found evidence that the Ouse wa once much wider than it was. Medieval river walls had been found, suggesting the river edge was pushed inwards.
