A TEAM of work colleagues are taking part in a challenge to walk 10,000 steps a day.

Seven members of staff from Lime Trees child and adolescent mental health service in Shipton Road are taking part in the Global Corporate Challenge to take the World Health Organisation’s recommended 10,000 steps a day.

Many of the team, who work as medical secretaries and admin staff, have started walking to work to get as many steps in as possible - which are being measured by pedometers- over the seven week period.

Team member Elaine Barr said: “It’s bringing us together as a team and it’s good for morale, although we are getting a bit competitive.”
