OUTPATIENTS at York Hospital say they are pleased with the way they are treated but would like to have more of a say in decision over medication.
The findings come from a survey of outpatients at the hospital during May last year, carried out by the Care Quality Commission.
The report said 95 per cent of patients said their care was good, very good or excellent and 91 per cent felt they were treated with respect and dignity. Areas where the Trust performed significantly better included a big increase in people being able to find a convenient parking place.
However, almost half of patients reported that they were not as involved as they would like to be in decisions about the best medication for their condition. There was also a slight increase in people reporting that they did not have enough time to fully discuss medical problems with the doctor.
