New products for autumn will be launched at Fenwick's beauty week. MAXINE GORDON has a sneak preview...

ANTI-AGEING serums featuring one of the world's most expensive oils; a product promising a 'one-minute facial' and the first liquid foundation from Bare Minerals will all be unveiled later this week in York.

Fenwick in Coppergate is hosting its autumn beauty week from this Friday, with an array of new launches as well as a packed programme of events.

Among the new brands arriving at the Coppergate store will be Willow Organic Beauty. Just out is its Barbary Fig Miracle range, featuring barbary fig oil, one of the most expensive oils in the world, and boasting anti-ageing properties. The organic essential oil has high levels of vitamin E, antioxidants and fatty acids and is being hailed as a new wonder skincare ingredient.

Celebrity facialist Sarah Cordier, who works for Willow, will be at Fenwick on September 4 and 5, offering beauty treatments and consultations for a £10 fee, redeemable against purchase (telephone 643322 x 248 to book).

REN will be launching its own "miracle" product this week too – it's Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial – which promises an instant boost of vitamin C to the skin to leave it looking firm, toned and smooth. Samples will be available during beauty week.

Another big story surrounds Bare Minerals, famous for its loose-powder mineral make-up. It is launching Bareskin, a mineral foundation in liquid form which is also a brightening serum.

No wonder the company is calling it the "holy grail of foundation", it is promising to deliver a brighter, even-toned complexion while providing seamless coverage with a natural finish.

Dior is joining the party too, with the arrival of its new One Essential Skincare Serum during beauty week.

Not to be outdone, haircare is coming under the spotlight. Socialite Tamara Ecclestone's luxury hair brand Show Beauty debuts at Fenwick this week.

The collection features a range of volumising, styling and finishing products, all in beautiful packaging and infused with a bespoke fragrance created by Givaudan.

Free from parabens and sulphates, Show has already won a string of beauty awards from Harper's Bazaar, Glamour and Tatler. The company will be doing hair demos and offering consultations on August 28, 29 and 30.

Fenwick will be offering a wide range of gifts with purchase during beauty week, which will run until Sunday, September 7.
