A SLIMMER who shed three stone with Slimming World has become their latest consultant.

Pat Harvey, 57, of York, said losing weight and going from a size 20 to 14 in five months had changed her life.

She said: "After two failed marriages and five miscarriages, I had changed into someone that I didn't recognise.

"The face looking back at me in the mirror showed all the loneliness and misery that I was carrying around in my heart. I felt embarrassed about my size and just stayed home comfort eating which just made the problem worse. My self-esteem was rock bottom and the zest for life had been sucked out of me."

Pat said she is so thrilled with how the programme had changed her attitude to food and life, she is opening her own group at 7pm on Wednesday at the Lidgett Grove Methodist Church Hall, Wheatlands Grove, York, so she can help others on their own weight loss journey.
