PUNTERS at a York pub will be having a scary time over the next few days when it hosts “Halloweek”, a series of Halloween themed events.
On Thursday, the pub is hosting a scary horror quiz, while on the following evening, revellers will be in for a fright with a free screening of the freaky film blockbuster, Hallowee’n.
Punters will be also invited to feast on heart, lungs and livers as part of a gruesome eating competition.
The weekend features an adult’s fancy dress party on Saturday starting at 8pm, while on Sunday it will be the children’s turn to have some freaky fun between 5pm and 7pm.
At all events The Knavesmire will be raising money for The Prostate Cancer charity, where it hopes to add substantially to the £600 already raised this year.
Tony Griffiths, pub manager, said: “We want the community to get together and have some fun as well as raise money for charity.”
