A “HAUNTED” hotel in the shadow of York Minster is offering a spooky Hallowe’en package to guests.
The Dean Court Hotel hosted a vigil in the summer by members of the National Paranormal Research Group, armed with electromagnetic field meters, digital night-shot camcorders, digital cameras, thermometer guns and an electronic voice phenomena recorder said to listen in on the voices of spirits.
A hotel spokesman said their findings were expected shortly. When a paranormal group investigated the hotel five years earlier, they reported speaking to a ghost named Annie and another named Dorothy, and also spotted the spooky spirit of an ex-army officer in a bath chair.
On Hallowe’en weekend, guests who will be offered special bat-shaped cocktail stirrers, will go on York’s famous Ghost Hunt, before returning for a two-course supper and mulled wine to soothe their shattered nerves.
