A CHARITY soul night has raised more than £3,000 for Leukaemia Research.

More than 300 people attended Lynne and Mick Burnett’s annual event on January 9, despite appalling weather conditions.

The night raised £3,209.20 for their chosen charity, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Lynne and Mick thanked the Royal York Hotel for sponsoring the event; the Blue Bell, Alne; Nestlé; the Steel family; Innovations; Arthur and Mrs Burnett for their donations; the DJs; everyone who helped on the night and all those who attended the event.
