THE PRESS is the latest business to spread some festive cheer across York after unveiling its Christmas window display as part of the city’s giant advent calender.
Businesses throughout the city are joining in the ‘living’ advent calendar, with one trader revealing a festive display every day until December 25.
December 6 was The Press’ turn to to unveil its creation, which features some impressive baubles designed by pupils from the following local schools: Appleton Roebuck, Bishopthorpe Infants, Burton Green Primary, Clifton Green Primary, Dringhouses Primary, Naburn CE Primary, Osbaldwick Primary, Robert Wilkinson Primary and St Barnabas CE Primary.
Kate Neighbour, who put together the display at The Press offices in Walmgate, said: “I was very impressed with the work and designs of the York primary schools that took part.”
On Wednesday, York Theatre Royal reveal its display at about 11am.
