Afternoon Fellowship: Austwick Church Afternoon Fellowship enjoyed a talk with excellent photographs of Judy and Chris Leeming’s recent visit to China The final event of 2012 was due to take place on Wednesday, when members visited Country Harvest, in Ingleton, for lunch and Christmas shopping.

Austwick Church: Austwick School will hold its Christmas concert in the church at 1.30pm today and carols, mince pies and mulled wine will be enjoyed at Austwick Hall from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. Tickets are available from the vicar or church social committee members. On Saturday the Rev Ian Greenhalgh, will lead a parish walk which starts outside the church at 9am. He will also lead carol singing in Newby on Tuesday, Clapham on Wednesday and Keasden on Thursday, with all three events starting at 6.30pm. Community carol singing takes place on the Traddock Hotel car park at 6.30pm next Saturday, December 22, followed by mulled wine in the lounge. Don’t forget a torch.
