Darren Tetley has added another title to his blooming amateur boxing career after winning the Yorkshire Challenge Belt.
The 19-year-old from Bradford’s Platinum Club comfortably beat Westaways opponent George Horner over three three-minute rounds in Scarborough.
Trainer David Nelson said the 2011 Junior ABAE champion was in complete command from the opening bell of the 64kg contest.
He said: “Daz dispatched him easily with some brilliant boxing. He was superb.”
Tetley, who plans to defend the belt in six weeks, was due for a quick return to the ring tonight in Platinum’s dinner show at the Cedar Court Hotel.
