A YORK MP has produced a detailed document advising residents on how to reduce their household energy bills.
Julian Sturdy, pictured, MP for York Outer, has produced the leaflet as National Energy Week drew to a close.
It includes advice on how best to switch energy providers and information about Government-led insulation schemes.
Constituents who would like to receive advice on the energy market should phone Mr Sturdy’s office on 01904 784847, or email julian.sturdy.mp@parliament.uk
The document is available to download from Mr Sturdy’s website at juliansturdy.com

Here's what I think it might say:
First turn down your house thermostat or get your Butler to do it, switch off the heating in the Bentley's garage, servants quarters, stables and swimming pool. Get your gardener to swap all the lightbulbs in your chandeliers for low energy flourescent types, ask the maid to hold his steps to prevent the risk of fall from height, remember if you have more than five staff your house should have its own safety policy. Only fill your Range Rover's fuel tank halfway, remove all uneccesary clutter, servants and dead game from the boot on a regular basis. Get some local peasant chidren from the village to insulate your loft with asbestos foam allowing their parents every second Sunday off working your fields for two weeks as a reward.
