8:52am Wednesday 23rd June 2010 in Fundraising fun
The day started with some controversy as one of the party took the wrong turn. For anonymity we’ll call him Dicko!
We then climbed 1,500 ft to the top of Kirkston pass and met a group of serving army personnel from the Cold Stream Regiment who are doing Ben Nevis, Scarfell and Snowden, biking and walking. They were raising money for Help the Heroes, a great charity, if anyone has any money left please support them.
We then cycled on to Scotland and finished in Annan in glorious sunshine just in time for the mid summers day service of recognition of our armed forces with a fantastic accompaniment of the local bagpipe band. Then a good night’s sleep by everyone.
Tomorrow we set off for Ayr and at last we seem to be getting a following wind.
