Fundraising glider pilot takes a break near Selby

A GLIDING instructor who is cycling the length of the country has taken a break in North Yorkshire.

Andy Sanderson camped overnight at Burn Gliding Club, near Selby, on Sunday, before moving on to the Yorkshire Gliding Club at Sutton Bank on his way from Wormingford in Essex to Lochearnhead in Scotland.

Mr Sanderson undertook the challenge to support charities including Parkinson’s UK and the Alzheimer’s Society, as his father suffered from Parkinson’s and he has a friend who suffers from Alzheimer’s.
