STAFF at a Marks & Spencer store in York are preparing to take part in a major fashion show for two charities.

The show will feature employees from the Pavement store and their children, modelling 70 items from the retailer’s autumn range.

Organised by womenswear section managers Debs Bridge and Sarah Chapman, it will take place at 7pm on Tuesday at the Hilton Hotel, near Clifford’s Tower.

Debs said tickets cost £8, to include a drink and nibbles. Phone 01904 643377 for tickets or to make a donation.

She said the event would include a raffle with prizes including restaurant vouchers, family tickets to Waterworld and family tickets to Vue Cinema. She hoped the show would raise £2,000, which would be divided between St Leonard’s Hospice and Snappy, the disabled children’s charity.
