£136k boost for Yorkshire Air Ambulance

Yorkshire Air Ambulance has received £136,000 to enable it to continue flying and saving lives across the region.

The charity received the donation from Yorkshire Building Society through its Savings Saves Lives account and Supporter Bonds.

The funds will help to support the work of the charity, which airlifted nearly 400 people to hospital for emergency treatment in the last year.

The donation takes the total amount raised by the building society for Yorkshire Air Ambulance to more than £500,000.

Paul Gowland, director of fundraising for Yorkshire Air Ambulance, said: “We are thrilled that Yorkshire Building Society savers have continued to help and support Yorkshire Air Ambulance for another year.”
