A YORK charity is set to get a new minibus thanks in part to a generous donation from York Round Table.

The group presented a cheque for £10,000 to Bishopthorpe-based Brunswick Organic Nursery, a registered charity that offers work and training to people with learning disabilities.

The cash will be put towards the purchase of a new vehicle.

Adam Myers, project manager, said: “All charities are under pressure at the moment and so this donation will really help ease our financial strain. It allows us to take our workers out into the community. This great vehicle is an ongoing contribution, not just a one-off gift.”
